Darius Prince is no stranger to football and has been playing professionally for over a decade. Prince has played for several leagues including the NFL, AFL, NAL, XFL, and even the AAF. His list of accolades is like no other. He is a 3-time arena football champion. Winning the 2017 Arenabowl, 2021 National Arena League Championship, and 2022 National Arena League Championship. He has been a 2-Time All-Arena First Team Offense, 3-Time All-NAL First Team Offense, Arenabowl XXX MVP, 2021 National Arena League Offensive Player of the Year, and 2022 National Arena League MVP. All without playing college football.
Instead of college football, Prince played college basketball at Penn State Beaver. After college, Prince started his professional football career with the Erie Explosion in 2014, then the Lehigh Valley Steelhawks in 2016 to then landing a spot with one of the most historic AFL Franchises the Philidelphia Soul in 2017. After 2 seasons in Philly, Darius Prince had the great opportunity to play for the Philidelphia Eagles of the National Football League. Prince got signed in August of 2018 and played 2 pre-season games, scoring 3 touchdowns for 103 receiving yards before being released in September 2018. Soon after, Darius Prince signed with the San Antonio Commanders of the Alliance of American Football then signed back with the Philidelphia Soul in April of 2019.
In January 2020, Darius Prince joined the XFL and signed with the New York Guardians and was unfortunately waived for final roster cuts. In 2021, Darius Prince signed with the Albany Empire and had multiple historic seasons winning 2 NAL titles being awarded 2021 National Arena League Offensive Player of the Year, and being the first Wide Receiver National Arena League MVP in 2022. He scored 29 touchdowns in 2021 and a massive 39 in 2022. After playing for Albany and Orlando in 2023 he had 28 touchdowns.
After the 2023 season ended, the Arena Football League returned and the legendary Albany Firebirds had risen. The first player signed by the Albany Firebirds was Arena Football veteran Darius Prince. Since the 2024 kickoff, Darius Prince has started the season with over 10 touchdowns and will continue to be a vital part of the Firebirds Organization not only as a player, and mentor but also as a huge part of the Albany Firebirds community outreach visiting schools, disability centers and a variety of events in the Capital Region community every week and inspiring the next generation of professional athletes.
