Drew Powell is one of the most proven players in this upcoming season. He played in the Indoor Football League for five years, building a triumphant 31-5 regular season record, winning 3 MVPs, and leading the 2018 Iowa Barnstormers to a league title. He lights up the field as a true dual-threat QB. In his last season, he threw 45 touchdowns and rushed for another 27.
Drew Powell is a massive addition to the Orlando Predators roster. He is going to round out the offense nicely as a true dual-threat quarterback. His passing game is top tier and has the ability to make defenses pay when they are not watching his legs. He is like a general with many medals to back up his work. In his decade-long career, he has come away with three IFL MVPs, an offensive player of the year, and the 2018 IFL title.
If you look back to his collegiate years at Livingstone, you can see how he was destined for greatness. At Livingstone, he was pedal to the metal, earning the starting spot his freshman year. He would pop off, going for 2,300 yards and 18 touchdowns on the season and being crowned Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association Rookie of the Year. He would cap his career at Livingstone by being elected CIAA Player of the Year.
Powell is one of the best indoor quarterbacks of the last 20 years. He is efficient in both the pass and run game, with accolades to back it up. He has three MVPs, a league championship, and several OPOYs. He has lived up to expectations in his first year in Arena Football.
